Lineage

Tamura Shihan was a direct student of O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba (see the Biography). He spent almost half a century passing that teaching on.

His main students

Tamura taught thousands of people. This short list names only teachers whose link to him is documented in public sources. It is not a ranking. Additions and corrections are welcome.

Organisations following his line

Today many groups trace their aikido to him. We list only organisations whose link to Tamura we could check in public sources, each with a reference. The list is incomplete: please write to info@tamura-shihan.org with additions and a public source.
